Working With Students Who Have ADHD
A few decades ago, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder or ADHD was a relatively unknown. However, in today’s school classroom, it is a very common term. Students who have difficulty staying on task, completing work assigned, organizing, planning, following directions and so on are being identified in ever increasing numbers. Most of these students are being educated in the regular classroom setting. Some of them spend a portion of their time in a special education setting. These students are often bright, are risk takers and can be very frustrating to teachers. This class will provide a description and diagnosis of ADHD along with strategies for working with students who have ADHD.
