Growth Mindset Coach Book PST Part 1 [A]
Target group: LHS feeder system

The Longmont High School Feeder has focused on teaching students to have a growth mindset. As part of that initiative, teachers were given a book called the Growth Mindset Coach: A Month by Month Guide.

Many students lack the social capital required to ensure continued academic achievement in the face of setbacks and challenges. The growth mindset gives teachers a way to tackle that problem while encouraging students to engage in productive struggle. Teachers want to increase academic achievement, but students who come from underprivileged backgrounds may have learning gaps which make school feel less productive. This book study will help teachers use the Growth Mindset as a way to ignite students´ passion for learning in the face of increasing rigor.

Each session will have time to read, sharing out and questions, and lesson planning.
