      CMEA Presentation of Classroom Assessment & Instructional Aid Materials for Music for Special Kids
This is limited to the music teachers at the elementary schools with the ASD programs (Niwot, Longmont Estates, and Prairie Ridge).

This group will work on a presentation of the curriculum they have created for ASD programs.
      Frederick High School - Integrated Curriculum Team
Target group: FHS English and social studies teachers

This group will meet to design integrated content and plan curriculum assessments to go with this integrated model. They will meet to map out the course, select materials, plan and analyze methods, materials and assessments. They will place materials and assessments in Schoology in an integrated resource folder for all teachers to access.

      Frederick High School Advisory Team Spring 2018 [A]
Target group: FHS teachers

This team will continue to update, change, and create new materials for each of the grade levels for students who are developing a post secondary plan in advisory.
      Legacy Elementary PAL Team
Target group: Legacy Elementary teachers

This group will create a Legacy PAL Resource guide to help increase movement in the classroom.
      Narrowing the Achievement Gap - MESA
Target group: Active STEM Explorer advisors in SVVS.

The summary product will include a semester plan for each STEM Explorers program based on data and information learned during the STEM Explorers Annual Kick-off, Feeder System and building meeting, and professional development provided by individual education out-reach partners, and other professional development opportunities selected by advisors. The product will be a template that requires the information listed below:

  • Advisor, school, grade level
  • Date and length of time program meets
  • Summary of each project/activity completed that includes an evaluation of the effectiveness of the project that includes both advisor, EO if applicable, and student opinions about the classes. Evaluation should include suggested changes.
  • A list of each education out-reach partner (EO) that assisted with the project and the EOs degree of their involvement. CU student mentors are also considered EOs.
  • When appropriate, measurement of student achievement should be recorded and summarized. Attitudinal surveys may also be used.
      Prairie Ridge Elementary - Dyslexia 101
Target group: PREL teachers

This group will create a Dyslexia 101 binder which will include such items as characteristics of dyslexia, facts and myths around dyslexia, and research-based interventions that can be used with students who are either identified with dyslexia or exhibit signs of dyslexia. They will be reproducing this binder so each grade level will have a copy to refer to as needed.

Each meeting session will have a set goal of what type of information to add to the binder. Each participant will be asked to bring any information they already have access to around dyslexia, as well as spending time researching other information and assembling it into the final project.
      Silver Creek High School - ELA Grade-level Team Common Writing Assessments
Target group: SCHS English Language Arts teachers

Grade level teams will create the CWA and identify the window to administer it. The teams will calibrate the papers using an already created ELA Writing rubric. Teams will analyze data of the writing and the P/SAT results and identify trends. Teams will then create plans to address the trends.
      Trail Ridge Middle School - PBL with Tim from Project Arc
Target group: TRMS teachers

Teachers will create a standards based unit driven by student inquiry. This group will work collaboratively to analyze approaches and give feedback.
