Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) Hybrid Initial Training
Session: 7718

After registering, you will receive an e-mail invitation to register for online learning through the Crisis Prevention Institute.

The Hybrid Initial training for Nonviolent Crisis Prevention and Intervention is a blended delivery model option that combines eLearning (online) and classroom instruction. The online training takes approximately 2-3 self-paced hours to be completed independently on the CPI website, followed by a 4 hour actual classroom training.

Through online, lecture, demonstration and practice, educators will learn:
  • to recognize warning signs which allow early intervention
  • to use verbal and nonverbal techniques to avoid a confrontation
  • successful verbal de-escalation techniques for crisis situations
  • nonviolent physical crisis protective strategies and intervention methods
