Calming Kids Classroom Tips

Target group: K-12 teachers

This class is perfect for anyone who works or lives with children or teens. We will look at ways to instruct students how to come into balance in all aspects of their lives, as well as, how these techniques can support the adult teacher. Simple movements for the physical body will be practiced to loosen, stretch and strengthen. Easy yoga moves will be done seated in a chair, standing and/or on the floor. Concentration and mindful practices will be used to center vibrant or anxious energy, or to assist with the lethargy that students can sometimes experience. Various age appropriate methods of mindful breathing will be practiced in order to help youth and teachers to self regulate. Feelings and emotions will be explored to help students become self aware, resilient and self guided with tools offered to transform negative patterns of behavior and empower healthy relationships. These five sessions will help you change a child’s life forever!
