STEM in Early Childhood Year 2


Target group: Early Childhood teachers and paraprofessionals

This collaborative class will meet each month to discuss successes and struggles around the integration of STEM in the preschool classroom. They will rotate meeting in different classrooms so that they can learn from each otherīs spaces.

Topics that will be addressed are:
  • collaborative planning
  • inquiry into design challenges related to childrenīs literature
  • the utilization of iPads using the SAMR model
  • inquiry of mathematics and science
  • the social emotional needs of young children

All of this will be framed through a lens of inclusive practices. Where appropriate, guest speakers will be invited.
