Being a School Special Education Facilitator

This class is designed for all new School Special Education Facilitators (SSEFs). This class will give participants an understanding of St. Vrain policies and procedures in special education and the state and federal regulations that drive these processes.

Participants will learn how to: use Q Interactive for standardized assessment, use various online rating forms, navigate “Enrich” (online IEP software) and apply their learning to write quality Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) with appropriate data collection and progress monitoring.

This class allows new staff an opportunity to personally interact with district special education administrators and coordinators. A portion of each class focuses on “burning” questions from the participants.

Addresses Colorado Teacher Quality Standards: 3C, 4C, 5B, 5C
