This group will continue the work learned in the Kodaly class. The class covered the K-1 concepts and presented appropriate song literature but left a lot of planning to be done by each individual teacher before being ready to implement the sequence. This group of teachers will develop a kindergarten and first grade elementary music curriculum, which is developmentally appropriate. This curriculum will include assessments for each of the music concepts and standards. We also want to share with the elementary music teachers in the district and be a resource for those who wish to use the Kodaly approach to teaching music literacy to St. Vrain students.
