Heartsaver Pediatric CPR and First Aid course
The Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid course is a credentialed course specially designed to train those responsible for children´s health in meeting state-specific requirements. This course is backed by comprehensive state-by-state research, and is formatted to allow instructors to customize it to include all topics required. Course modules cover first-aid basics, medical emergencies, injury emergencies, and environmental emergencies. The Heartsaver CPR with AED course trains lay rescuers to recognize and treat life-threatening emergencies with adult and child victims. The course combines hands-on training with Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) commonly found in offices and schools. The American Heart Association is committed to providing students with the most recent, effective resources including a textbook and CD-ROM (included in price of class) which incorporate the most up-to-date, science-based treatment recommendations. Class is approximately 5 hours in length and includes a certification card good for 2 years. Cards will be issued approximately 10 days following the course.
