6 + 1 Trait Rubrics for Grades K-3: Target Instruction and Increase Writing Achievement

Target Group: Teachers new to the district and classroom teachers who have not previously received this training.

Learn to use the power of 6 + 1 Trait^TM rubrics not only to assess student writing, but also to pinpoint instruction that will increase student writing achievement.

Taught by classroom practitioners, this two-day seminar will briefly review the traits and the rubrics and focus extensively on classroom applications, including the dynamic relationship between the 6 + 1 Trait rubrics and Lucy Calkins Units of Study for Teaching Primary Writing.
