Flexible S.D. 09-10 (Elem/Sec) Category Art Subcategory UNL Professor will share his extensive knowledge about fire clay and glazes at different temperatures. Participants will consider various mental health issues that may intersect with gifted and impact student performance, such as Asperger´s, depression, anxiety, and others. Students do not always achieve at the level of their abilities; the reasons are multitudinous, but teachers cannot typically reverse underachievement without understanding its nature. Participants will learn to apply specific counseling strategies appropriate for the gifted population and how to use those strategies to increase achievement. Mac OSX "AT User Account" - Mac System Adaption for Print Disabled Students Starting in the 2009-2010 school year, all newly reimaged Mac computers at LPS have special user account - "AT", (Assistive Technology). In this account, all "Voice Ouput" function of OSX are enabled. Students can have the computer read the print material - simple sentence to the entire book - to them, make the computers talk words as they type as well as changing screen appearance to fit their special needs. In this course, we will explore specific activities we can use for the students in this account.
