For those of you moving into co-teaching which utilizes teams of general education and special education teachers, it is critical that you implement this methodology effectively. Kathleen Kryza is a highly recommended national presenter who will lead your teams of co-teachers through an effective process for implementation. Topics to be taught, practiced, and built upon throughout the series include: learning to communicate effectively with your partner, scheduling issues and finding time to plan, co-teaching models, co-planning and lesson design (which includes establishing an appropriate learning This session of Co-Teaching will focus on honoring diversity and creating community. You will learn how to create a safe learning environment for all learners while using effective strategies to help them learn. Strategies to help you get to know your students will also be provided.
