Ready to Learn - Public Television and You: Good Books, Activities, & Healthy TV for Growing Minds

Parents, grandparents, and caregivers of children from 0-5 years are invited to attend this instructional and entertaining workshop with their young children. 1st half hour: Adults meet with WGVU personnel to learn how to encourage your young child to read wit the help of PBS programs, materials and activities in the library’s community room while Jennifer Tice, Youth Services Librarian, reads to and supervises your young children in the youth department of the library. 2nd half hour: children join their adults in the meeting room for the conclusion of the WGVU program presentation.
Each family will receive a FREE BOOK courtesy of the St. Joseph county Literacy Council, Great Start, and the Three Rivers Public Library: A Parent’s Guide to Reading with Your Young Child by Susan Neuman.
