Join us at the SELCO office to see the work library staff from all over the region have completed as part of SELCO´s Special Consultants project. Wondering how to start fundraising? How to start a teen program? Our consultants assisted our library staff in doing just hose things. If you find a project you´d like to implement at your own location, you can also set that up at the fair.

The afternoon session will feature Rogers and Rochester Public Library Director Audrey Betcher focusing on how Continuous Improvement was introduced at the Rochester Public Library and the three continuous improvement projects the library has taken on since receiving training.

A Question & Answer session will be held at the end of the workshop for those attendees who would like advice or encouragement for future implementation.

           Intro to Web Junction
Minnesota is now a WebJunction partner!
As WebJunction continues to grow, so does the need to tailor resources to meet the specific needs of local library organizations and staff. In June 2004, WebJunction announced a new relationship with regionally-based Community Partners to create locally relevant content and services for the libraries they serve, while continuing to provide the resources currently available on WebJunction today to a global audience.

The program is based on a cooperative model that encourages contribution not only from Community Partners, but from their individual members as well. This program will help WebJunction partners and their members save time and resources while facilitating knowledge and resource sharing across all of WebJunction.

This program provides each partner with tools to create locally relevant content, discussions, and training programs. For WebJunction members across all communities, the program provides an expanded pool of shared resources, many of which will be relevant beyond their local contexts. An additional benefit of the program is that library staff in Community Partner states have access to WebJunction online courses at no charge to them, while other WebJunction members pay fees for some courses.

Come and find out what WebJunction has to offer!
