           Combined Classroom Assessment Learning Team [A]
Experienced members and new members of the Classroom Assessment Learning Team will jointly engage in small-group inquiry into areas of their own assessment practices. Some possible small group inquiry topics: Using student-friendly language for standards and objectives Precisely defining learning targets Matching assessment methods with learning targets Relationship between assessment & student motivation Grading and report cards Feedback conferences Student-involved parent conferences Portfolios Performance assessment Development of high quality rubrics Converting rubric scores into grades Developing high quality selected response assessments Standardized testing Incorporating technology into formative assessment Participants have the opportunity to share their experiences and learn from each other at the monthly meetings.

Participants from the SY08-09 Learning Team will discuss their small group or personal inquiries into their assessment-related practices.
           Math Add+Vantage MR Course II, Nov. 2009
Course II is a two day program (November 9 & 12) that expands beyond Course I into the Learning Framework in the number domains of place value and multiplicaiton & division. The place value diagnostic assessment yields a studentīs conceptual level for place value along with levels for the underlying skills needed for the complete development of place value understanding. The multiplication and division assessment yields a studentīs conceptual level along with the levels for the underlying skills needed for understanding multiplication and division.
           New Classroom Assessment Learning Team [A]
New members of the Classroom Assessment Learning Team will spend the first few months learning about the keys to quality assessment and the need for an assessment system for learning. Participants build up their background knowledge using Classroom Assessment for Student Learning: Doing it Right-Using it Well by Stiggins, Arter, Chappuis, & Chappuis and through interactive activities. Books will be supplied by RRPS.
