This course will involve discussing and implementing research-based and district/state approved curriculum and practices regarding transition planning and services. Topics will include: IEP planning for students 16 or younger as determined by IEP team, continuum of services, the transition plan as a required part of the IEP (training, post-secondary education, employment, independent living skills and adult living skills), agency resources and connections and portfolio.
