      School-Wide Positive Behavior Support Cohort Training [A]

NOTE: This conference is only open to Invited teams consisting of special educators, regular educators, Intermediate Unit Training and Consulting staff, administrators, guidance counselors, school psychologists, agency providers, and parents.

Initial team three day conference two additional cohort training dates for the 2007-08 school year will be announced at the training in June.

      Using the Standards Aligned System to Ensure 21st Century Teaching and Learning

Please note: Registrants who plan on attending the first three days of this event followed by SAS Certification Training Program should now be able to register for both events without receiving an error message. We apologize for the delay in correcting this problem.

PDE will sponsor the 21st Century Teaching and Learning Institute where the new Standards Aligned System (SAS) and Ed Portal will be unveiled and participants will have the opportunity to engage in interactive sessions both by job role and content area. The purpose of the Institute is to extend the work of Classrooms for the Future for rigorous, student centered, and relevant teaching and learning in the 21st Century to improve student achievement through the Academic Standards and Resiliency.

Objectives

The overarching Goal for this institute is for participants to apply the six elements of the Standards Aligned System supported in the context of resiliency in schools to increase student achievement in both instructional and emotional domains.

Target Audience

Three - four member teams from each district consisting of: Administrators and/or Curriculum Directors, Instructional Coaches and Teachers. Intermediate Unit Curriculum Coordinators are invited to attend to support their respective district teams.

Individuals attending this course must arrive on time and stay the duration of the course in order to receive Act 48 Professional Education hours. Requests for exceptions are to be brought to the attention of the individual´s Superintendent or IU Director prior to the course.
