Zero Hour Physical Activity for Elementary Students
Session: 1084
November 20, 2009

9:00-11:30 a.m.

Several of our local districts are implementing a “Zero Hour Physical Activity” program for their elementary students.  For most of our schools this is a new program this year.  However, Otsego Public Schools has been implementing this program for several years.

This morning session will be an "informal" opportunity for everyone involved in implementing this program to share ideas and resources.  Amy Nieuwenhuis will be here from Otsego as a resource.  The agenda will be framed by the participants, but the session will begin by having each school share their plan. We will then move on to successes, challenges, and resources.  Since many districts are using some Safe & Drug Free School and Community Grant funds to supplement the program, limitations of this funding source will also be discussed.

Please bring information with specifics of your program and contact information which can be shared with all.

Cost: No charge, continental breakfast included

Registration: Required

If you have questions, please contact Beverly Schroeder at 1-877-702-8600, ext. 4110 or email bschroed@oaisd.org
