HIV/AIDS Teacher Certification Training-Winter 2010

12:15-4:30 p.m.

This workshop meets the Michigan teacher certification requirements to teach HIV/AIDS.

The HIV/AIDS Teacher Certification Training workshop will provide:

The most recent information and research on HIV/AIDS
Information on best practice for student instruction
A review of the revised HIV/AIDS lessons in the Grade 4 & 5 Revised Michigan Model for Health Curriculum
An understanding of the physical, mental, social and financial impact of living with HIV

Participants will receive a certificate upon completion of the training and a required assignment.

NOTE: This HIV/AIDS certification training is also included in the 4 day “Teaching Reproductive Health Education” and 2 day “Teaching Puberty Education” workshops.
