Response to intervention or RtI is a process that involves establishing a continuum of support for all students in academics and/or behavior. Although the primary focus of RtI in the last few years has been at the elementary level, there is growing interest in applying the process to secondary schools. This study group will answer the questions: What is RtI? How does it apply to a middle school environment? What would it look like in the area of adolescent literacy support? Behavior? What are some examples from actual middle schools using this process?
Who: Study teams of 4-6 people consisting of principals (required), teacher representatives, school psychologists, counselors, or school social workers
