Civics/Government Network 2009-2010
December 14, 2009 and February 3, 2010-8:30 a.m.-3:00 p.m.

These sessions introduce teachers to the Civics and Government course from the Michigan Citizenship Collaborative Curriculum based on the new social studies content expectations. Three units of study will be highlighted: Units 1, 2 and 4. The course is designed to deepen teacher knowledge of civics, government, and political science, as well as highlight best practices in social studies education. Teachers will examine unique features of the MC3 materials and learn about practical instructional strategies for use in their classroom. br>
