These sessions introduce teachers to 6th grade curriculum units from the Michigan Citizenship Collaborative Curriculum based on the new social studies content expectations. Teachers will be connecting and sharing with teachers across the state. Two units of study will be highlighted: Unit 1: Foundations of Social Studies and Unit 4-South America: People, Places and Issues. The network is designed to deepen teacher knowledge of geography, as well as highlight best practices in social studies education.
