Minuteman Basketball School

(For boys and girls ages 7 through 16)
This highly successful and popular program is now in its´ thirty-first year under the direction of Nick Papas. Coach Papas is the Head Basketball Coach at Burlington High School and former coach at Minuteman. Coach Papas´ squads posted 22 consecutive winning seasons, from 1978-2000, including 20 State Tournament appearances. His teams have won over 380 games during his career.Coach Papas is both Minuteman and Melrose High Schools all-time winningest coach! The basketball school emphasizes the development of fundamental skills. daily lectures, individual and group drills, instructional videos, and controlled scrimmages are utilized during a typical day. Each student will also play two competitive games per day. Foul shooting contests, hot shot competitions, and two-on-two tournaments are scheduled for each age group division. Awards, as well as, certificates and basketball posters will be presented to all participants. Minuteman´s excellent facilities (modern gymnasium, toss-back machine, outdoor courts, showers, and lockers) will be available to all students on a daily basis with supervision provided. This four-week, 60 hour program is one of the most reasonably priced and popular basketball schools in Eastern Massachusetts.
