Journalism II
Students will write, edit and produce articles for publication. If you are interested in writing for your high school newspaper or getting published in local newspapers and media sources, this is an opportunity to develop ideas and skills. Develop interviewing strategies, learn editorial writing and how to write a lead as you begin to think like a reporter. Explore topics ranging from choosing type styles to holding press conferences; writing headlines, cutlines and captions, learning how to get the scoop and more. While this course is suitable as follow-up to Journalism I, new students are welcome.
Please Note: All students taking academic courses for credit are required to maintain at least a 97% attendance rate, which is at least 29 out of the 30 hours.
