Dental Assisting Program - Trade-DentalAssist
Curriculum for this adult daytime course includes chairside assisting in general and specialty areas, dental materials and procedures, radiology, infection control, expanded functions, and computer information processing. Students receive clinical experience in area dental offices. They are prepared for employment as chairside dental assistants, and may challenge the Dental Assisting National Board’s exams in Infection Control & Radiology. Students also will have the opportunity to become Radiology certified by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Additional $130 materials fee and $170 book fee. Those admitted must make arrangements for and begin a series of three Hepatitis-B immunizations prior to the internship portion of the course. Because of the ongoing shortage of dental assistants, placement and salary prospects for graduates of this program are excellent. Prerequisite: high school diploma or GED. For more information, call (781) 861-7151.
