WeŽll start with drawing the first night working with white shapes for those who may not have prior or recent drawing experience. Then quickly we will move into color, color mixing, values and composition using landscape as our subject focus for this class. Washes, wet-on-wet, wet-on-dry, dry brush and other methods of creating textures in our painting will be introduced. Continuing students (those who have had at least one prior watercolor class) are welcome and will receive guidance on their painting work in an independent study framework. Art supplies will be kept as basic as possible, but expect to spend a minimum of $50 for materials. Bring white drawing or printer paper, a #2 pencil and white plastic eraser to the first class. Bring watercolor supplies by the second class session.
