Basic Scuba Diving - AE REC 100
Did you know you can’t rent scuba
equipment without full certification as
an open water diver? Completion of this course, along with the optional four open water training dives, will earn you full SSI certification. If you’d prefer to wait until your vacation to do your open water dives, our instructors can set this up for you, almost anywhere in the world, as long as it’s within six months of the end of our course. Emphasis in Minuteman’s course will be on diver safety, acclimation to the underwater environment and fun. You must be able to demonstrate adequate swimming skills at the beginning of the course. An additional materials fee of $75 will be charged upon acceptance into the course. Extra fees will be charged at the time of your open water dives. If you do open water dives locally with East Coast Divers, there will be a $100 open water training fee and an $85 rental fee for the use of the equipment. Open water dives set up for you elsewhere will be charged according to the fee scale of the providing organization.
Students must provide their own mask, fins and snorkel by the second night of class at Minuteman.
