The Training
This multimedia interactive HALF-DAY training will provide an overview of the fast-growing approach to creating a culture of social competence in schools today, School Wide Positive Behavior Support (SW-PBS). This awareness level training will demonstrate the differences between traditional approaches and SW-PBS to reduce challenging behavior in schools. The essential features of implementing SW-PBS will be reviewed and discussed.

Target Audience
This training is geared toward administrators who are considering sending a school-based team to the three-day SW-PBS Implementation Training, staff new to school that has adopted SW-PBS, and/or interested educators and parents.

Course Objectives
Participants will:
1. Understand the philosophy of Positive Behavior Support in a school setting
2. Learn about the differences between traditional and the PBS approach to reducing challenging behavior in schools.
3. Learn about the PBS Continuum of support, and
4. Learn about the essential features necessary to implement SW-PBS in their building or program

This training will be offered at no charge, however, online registration is MANDATORY in order to attend.
