Road to Reading: Preventing & Remediating Reading Difficulties - 171-3100
Waiting list count: 13
Session: 6579

This workshop is Not eligible for Professional Development Funds.

Target Audience:

MiBLSi and RtI Teams, general education teachers K-3, reading specialists, literacy coaches, psychologists, providers of Tier II reading intervention, and speech-language pathologists.

The Workshop:
This scientifically-based program takes literacy instruction to the next level for those students who can demonstrate beginning levels of phonemic awareness and who know some letter names and sounds. The explicit 5-step program helps students develop word identification, oral reading, and spelling skills. According to the authors, the lessons take only 30-40 minutes daily and can be used as a primary reading program, or in conjunction with any core reading program. The six levels of reading instruction build on each other and increase in complexity, as students progress through the program.

Learn the program delivery model and create your classroom kit.

Leave the workshop ready to implement this scientifically-based intervention!
