Target Audience: Classroom Teachers K-8, Administrators, Special Education Teachers, Behavior Specialists, Psychologists, Social Workers, Counselors and Support Staff.
Description: This six-hour session will introduce participants to a data-based process for identifying and understanding school-wide disproportionate discipline outcomes. Topics that will be addressed include:
• Recommended data sources for root cause analysis
• Process for obtaining stakeholder voice and participation in the problem-solving process
• Linking school-specific hypotheses to interventions
• Developing measurement plans to support evaluation
• Utilizing decision rules to determine progress towards goals
