Target Audience:Grade 3-6 Teachers

A MLPP Grade 3-6 Teacher will:
- Articulate the standards for literacy described in the MDE Curriculum Frameworks.
- Understand the foundation supporting literacy development of students in grades 3-6.
- Learn to administer grade 3-6 literacy assessments and use the data to plan instruction.
- Plan and implement instructional strategies that develop literacy skills appropriate for students in grades 3-6.
- Become proficient with effective practices found to promote effective literacy development for students in grades 3-6.
- Motivate grade 3-6 students to examine their literacy practices and take responsibility for their own learning.
- Develop the technology skills necessary to navigate the web to access sites and maintain a web presence.
