TARGET AUDIENCE: (teams of two) General education teachers Pre-K through 2nd grade, speech-language pathologists, special education teachers Pre-K through 2nd grade, literacy coaches, teacher consultants, other RTI team members, and staff at MiBLSi Schools.
THE WORKSHOP:
Language for Learning explicitly teaches words, concepts, and statements important to both oral and written language. It emphasizes the meanings and uses of vocabulary words that are important for following instructions, answering questions, and solving logical problems. Language for Learning builds proficiency in oral language, vocabulary, and world knowledge. It provides students with a secure foundation on which essential reading and writing skills can be developed. This course will provide practice with the Language for Learning materials and direct instruction teaching techniques.

COST: $850.00 includes training for TWO participants and ONE set of shared materials.
DISCOUNTED COST FOR MACOMB COUNTY STAFF: $300.00!
Any two people from the same building who can share one set of teaching materials may be a team.
Cost for one person is the same amount.
