           Data Director - Advanced Classroom Applications with DIBELS [A]
DIBELS is being used by many educators to assess reading. Learn how to put your student DIBELS information into Data Director, run reports like that at the University of Oregon site, and compare your DIBELS data to other assessments or results loaded into Data Director. Note: This is an advanced course. Pre-Requisite: Sessions I (Overview and Pre-Built Reports), II (Basics of Assessments and Exams) and III (Custom Reports).

           Data Director - Advanced Classroom Applications with MLPP [A]
MLPP (Michigan Literacy Progress Profile) is an instructional system that provides teacher documentation about a child’s literacy and performance levels. Assessment tools, portfolio and individual student profiles and instructional strategies can be integrated into Data Director using common standards now in place county-wide. Learn how to use Data Director to plot student performance in phonemic awareness, concepts of print, word recognition, letter/sound identification, hearing and recording sounds, and sight word/decodable words aspects of MLPP. Note: This is an advanced course. Pre-Requisite: Sessions I (Overview and Pre-Built Reports), II (Basics of Assessments and Exams) and III (Custom Reports).

           Data Director - Training for Building Teams
This two day course is designed for Data Director building teams (teachers and principals) to gain the basic skills needed to integrate the use of Data Director building wide. Participants will learn the menus, how to run pre-built or create custom reports, generate assessments and exams, and use the Data Scanner. Team time will be provided to design a customized roll-out plan for your building. SBCEUs may be available. Lunch is provided. Please register each team member individually.

           Data Director Administration
Designed for Data Director administrators, district technology administrators or representatives responsible for coordinating Data Director in their Districts. Participants will be trained on entering users, uploading data, creating new demographics, or coordinating power data sets.

           Data Director Basics - Assessments and Exams (Session II)
The purpose of this course is to introduce educators to the Data Management System, Data Director, and the Assessment and Exam features. Participants will develop an understanding of how tests can be created in the Exam feature in a variety of formats. Educators can use existing exams or make up new, with the goal of linking questions to state GLCEs or HSCEs. These exams can then be turned into assessments to generate reports on student performance that aide in school improvement and curriculum planning/decision making. Session II is part of a three-class “Basics Series” designed to at the introductory level. NOTE: THIS IS PART OF THE 2 DAY DATA TEAM TRAINING SERIES.

           Data Director Basics - Custom Reports (Session III) [A]
The purpose of this course is to introduce educators to the Data Management System, Data Director, and the Prebuilt and Custom Report features. Participants will develop an understanding of basic reports that have been preloaded and can be run instantly. Additionally, participants will learn how to utilize demographic and assessment data to generate custom reports to identify performance by specific populations of students and aid in school improvement and curriculum planning/decision making. Session III is part of a three class “Basics Series” designed to at the introductory level. NOTE: THIS IS PART OF THE 2 DAY DATA TEAM TRAINING SERIES.

           Data Director Basics - Program Overview & Pre-Builts (Session I) [A]
The purpose of this course is to introduce educators to the Data Management System, Data Director. Participants will develop an understanding of how assessments/tests can be integrated into Data Management System to generate reports. These reports can be sorted by a variety of demographic factors, and used to identify strengths and weaknesses at the GLCE and HSCE levels for school improvement and curriculum planning/decision making. Session I is part of a three-part “Basics Series” designed to at the introductory level. NOTE: THIS IS PART OF THE 2 DAY DATA TEAM TRAINING SERIES.

           Data Director Overview
Designed to introduce Macomb county educators to Data Director data management system, including assessments, exams and reporting. This session is open to any Macomb County public school teacher in a district using Data Director. Your district’s data must be available in Data Director in order for you to participate.            Grading for Learning [A]

Target Audience: Classroom, Title I, Special Education Teachers and Principals

Participants will examine grading practices and the issues that arise from these practices. Eight guidelines for grading by O’Connor will be discussed and applied to participants’ classrooms and schools. Participants will develop ways to implement these guidelines within their classroom and schools.

The Macomb ISD is a site adminstrator for the ETS Parapro Assessment Testing. Passing of this web based test verifies the qualifications necessary for certification as required by the No Child Left Behind legislation.

A Paraprofessional Workshop is also offered prior to this test. The workshop will provide a targeted review of all the material on the Parapro Assessment Test. Please check our website under the category of Assessment for dates, times and fees for this workshop.

This class will offer prospective paraprofessionals instruction and practice using the Educational Testing Service (ETS) Parapro Assessment Study Guide and offical Practice test. This workshop will provide targeted review of all material on the ETS Parapro Assessment Test.
