The A+ Learning System allows students to recover credit after failing a course, prepare for the ACT, review materials from a course, review for the GEE and much more. The course offers flexibility in planning by allowing teachers to assign specific lessons, giving pretests to determine student strengths and weaknesses, prescribing lessons to improve student learning in areas of weakness, and post tests to assess learning after completion of prescribed lessons.
           A+ Refresher

           Achievement Series for Teachers
Teachers will learn to use Scantronīs Achievement Series, the Web Based Assessment Manager for Teacher and Administrators. Teachers will learn to access test data and reports.
           Advanced Excel
In this course, participants will create and manipulate table data, create/use functions, and more advanced techniques. In order to get the most of this session, participants need to have a very good understanding of basic Excel functions.

           TEC21 - Technology Enhancing Curriculum in the 21st Century [A]
Technology Enhancing Curriculum in the 21st Century (TEC21) is Instructional Technologyīs professional development program designed to incorporate the use of technology within the curriculum at every level of instruction. During the course, teachers will learn how digital tools (cameras, presentation software, computing equipment) and online resources can support and enhance traditional subjects, skills and teaching practices. They will also learn how to integrate technology into the core content, incorporate real world problems and utilize digital tools and resources that enhance learning goals. As a result, students will learn to think and work creatively and collaboratively. Teachers who complete the course will receive a computer, printer and software and will become eligible to participate in the RenewTech program.

           Transforming the Classroom with Project-Based Learning
This workshop is designed to familiarize participants with the principles of Project-Based Learning (PBL). Throughout this six-week workshop, exemplary projects will be analyzed, critiqued, and evaluated for applicability to participantsī classroom needs. Participants will gain hands on experience using software tools to support the planning and execution of projects, and develop collaborative, inquiry-based projects that support their curricular goals. Participants will learn to blend PBL and standards-based design strategies to create curriculum units that enhance student learning. Each participant will leave the online workshop with preliminary plans for a PBL project.

           Using Google to Become a 21st Century Administrator [A]
This workshop is designed to acquaint school administrators with several web-based applications, designed by Google, which can be used to streamline communication and collaboration among staff, teachers and students. Focusing on helping busy school administrators find practical ways to collaborate and communicate, this module will provide a hands-on introduction to Google Calendar, Google Docs, and Blogger and will address critical issues for administrators to consider when introducing these technologies into school practices. Throughout the workshop, participants will explore numerous examples of Google applications being used creatively and successfully by school administrators. By the end of the workshop, administrators will have gained hands-on experience with these applications and developed a personal vision and action plan for integrating Google applications into their schools.

Windows Movie Maker is a free video-editing tool included with Microsoft Windows XP. With Movie Maker, you can make fun, educational videos that can shared across the Internet or burn to a CD or DVD. Movie Maker is easy for anyone to use, so donīt be afraid to dive in, even if youīre not a computer expert.
           World Book [A]
The online version of the encyclopedia set contains all of the print version text and illustrations plus many multi-media additions. Curriculum correlation guides will assist you with integration ideas. Attention foreign language teachers! The Spanish language version is also included in the online package. 1.5 hours
