Re-Energizing the Writing Workshop
Session: 7586 This course is designed to support K-12 teachers in re-energizing and redefining the Writing Workshop. Participants will explore and study real-world writing and connect learning to inquiry-based instructional practices in the Writer’s and Language Workshop. In addition, participants will study and refine instructional practices including mini-lessons and one-on-one conferencing in the writing workshop using a Study Driven/Inquiry-Based approach. Ample time will be provided for planning, collection of resources, and organization of units and series of lessons for writing instruction.
Participants who are not employed by North Scott schools will need to purchase the following books prior to start date: Joy Write: Cultivating high-impact, low-stakes writing, R. Fletcher (2017) Study Driven by Katie Wood Ray
