Trauma Informed Approaches to Classroom Management
Session: 7561 In this class you will learn about childhood trauma and how it can affect student learning. You will learn about different tools to help students self-regulate which can create a positive classroom environment. This is a hands-on class where you will explore tools such as yoga, mindfulness, social/emotional games, and trauma releasing activities. You will explore different ways to create a “Take a Break” spot and we will give you classroom time and materials to create your own plan. This class will be taught by Becky Wundram, a classroom teacher and yoga instructor as well as Anne Uphoff, a school counselor and yoga instructor. They will be joined by a guest presenter Eunju Choi, certified TRE Provider (Tension and Trauma Release Exercise). Registration closes 7/15/18.
