Level I Investigator Training

Iowa Code Section 280.17 requires all public and non-public schools to annually appoint a Level I investigator and alternate(s) to investigate complaints regarding abuse of students by school employees and volunteers. INVESTIGATORS AND ALTERNATES ARE TO BE TRAINED UPON INITIAL APPOINTMENT AND THEN ONCE EVERY FIVE YEARS THEREAFTER. The training is to familiarize designated individuals with their roles, rules, procedures and required time lines for action.

The training will now be online starting Sept. 24, 2012.

Visit AEA Online Professional Development for more information. You will need to log in with your Moodle id or create a new account. Click on the School Improvement category and then select the Level One Investigator Training.
