Conducting Concurrent Operants Assessment as a Continuum of Strategies Utilized During a FBA

This workshop will provide advanced behavior training on specific FBA strategies for AEA staff already trained on basic principles of ABA by the AEA Challenging Behavior Team. A variety of Preference Assessments will first be reviewed with modeling, coaching, and hands-on practice during the morning. Additionally, the Concurrent Operants Assessment will be taught with modeling and coaching. Participants will be instructed and coached on the basic flow-chart model of the choice assessment and spend time running the assessment with other participants during the second day of training. As a follow-up, an AEA CBT member will be assigned to each participant to practice the skills learned within their current placement with a student for additional coaching, practice, and feedback upon request.
