The five modules that compose the training include an overview of effective practices and example strategies for teaching grapheme-phoneme correspondences, morphology, vocabulary, and text structure. Each module contains sample lessons and video clips of real Iowa teachers putting these strategies to work in their classrooms.
8:30-11:30: The morning session will focus on Grapheme Phoneme Mapping and Morphology as well as an introductory module.
These are the same modules that were presented by Dr. Reed on Sept. 28th.
12:30-3:30: The afternoon session will also begin with the introductory module and focus on Vocabulary Instruction and Text Structure.
Three repeat workshops will be offered.
