Chris Jakicic is an author and consultant with Solution Tree and a former building principal in Illinois. Her work focuses on the development of high-quality assessments that drive the conversations that occur on collaborative teacher teams. The creation of common formative assessments starts with identifying priority standards, correctly distinguishing the level of cognitive rigor in the standards, and writing associated learning targets that drive instruction and feedback.
In this hands-on professional learning experience participants will engage in this process from start to finish and will walk away with the knowledge and skills to drive the work of collaborative teams forward. Recommended participants include: classroom teachers, teacher leaders, curriculum leaders, principals, curriculum directors, and anyone else charged with ensuring students learn at high levels.
Fee includes Dr. Jakicic’s newest book, Simplifying Common Assessment.
