Creating a Calm Child: Understanding Childhood Trauma


This is a follow up class for those students who have attended Creating a Calm Classroom. In this class you will learn about working with childhood trauma that engages the whole child. You will learn to integrate techniques such as yoga, mindfulness, and social emotional activities to help children calm down and self-regulate.

Participants should bring their own yoga mat, blankets, one shoe box, and dress appropriately to engage in physical movement throughout class.

This class is for those who have completed Creating a Calm Classroom

Time: 8:00 - 5:00
Registration closes 6/10/17.

Dates: 7/31/17, 8/1/17
Time: 8:00 - 5:00

Cost:
$85 for 1 Relicensure credit
$85 for participant only/audit

$10 for 15 hours of CUEs in addition to audit or relic. credit fee

This course is appropriate for paraeducators to use toward license renewal.
This course is not offered for Drake graduate credit or for those who have a substitute authorization license.
