Adult Mental Health First Aid Training


This workshop is for AEA staff only.

The workshop teaches participants the risk factors and warning signs of a variety of mental health challenges common among adults, including anxiety, depression, psychosis, and substance use disorders. Participants do not learn to diagnose, nor how to provide any therapy or counseling – rather, participants learn a core five-step action plan to support an adult developing signs and symptoms of mental illness or in an emotional crisis. Learn about local resources and services. This course is interactive. Participants will receive a Youth MHFA manual.

Who should attend?
AEA staff who work with adults 18 years of age or older and anyone who would like to gain knowledge regarding Adult mental health issues.
