PAR and uPAR workshop


PAR (Protocol for Accommodations in Reading) is a tool to systematize procedures for making data-based reading accommodation recommendations for students based on student-specific evidence. This product was developed by Dr. Denise DeCoste and Linda Bastiani Wilson.

This workshop will provide an overview of the PAR and uPAR. Participants will learn to set up, administer, score and develop and review profiles using the PAR. uPAR information will be presented and reviewed with comparisons between products. Use of these assessments in the context of provision of digital text readers will be discussed for students who are not reading at grade level.
