Systems Thinking, Year 2

This course is open only to AEA staff.

During organizational redesign, there is a need to better understand the various aspects of the organization (different disciplines, departments, focus areas, etc.) and their interrelationships in order to effectively integrate our efforts to support district needs. As people better understand the interdependency of internal systems, they will reduce redundancies and capitalize on team strengths. Systems thinking (including the other four disciplines) provides an opportunity to increase the impact a consulting/support organization has with schools in their effort to ensure student proficiency.

In order to co-own student data with building-level collaborative teams, responsible for analyzing student and teacher data, a learning organization must build internal capacity for systems thinking through a unified approach. This course will support learners in learning how to build, adapt, and maintain structures and processes that support a systems-level change.
