Using the iPad to Overcome Dyslexia: The best apps and downloads to accommodate dyslexic students

This session has been cancelled.

This online course is specifically designed to give teachers a wealth of iPad resources to use with students who have diverse reading and writing needs.

This class is divided into 3 modules. Module 1 thoroughly describes dyslexia and how it effects one´s ability to read and write. Modules 2 and 3 explore some of the most practical, accessible and helpful apps for students with dyslexia to "level the playing field" in the classroom.

This is a perfect class for educators and parents to add to their "toolbox" of resources to meet the needs of their most diverse learners.

This is an online course. The instructor will closely monitor student participation through log on time, the posting of assignments, and responding to teacher and student postings. Students can access the on-line class 24 hours per day from their computer. This will be a self paced class.

Book needed for the course is available at Amazon.com. We recommend not purchasing the book until you receive confirmation that the course is not cancelled and will be held.
