Welcome to the AT Institute!
This is one of five courses designed around the topic of assistive technology and access to reading and writing.
The focus of this course is accessible instructional materials. This course will provide teachers and AEA staff with a systematic approach to data-based decisions related to students who require Accessible Instructional Materials (AIM). The Protocol for Accommodations in Reading (PAR, DeCoste) will be central to the discussion and participants will review profiles and practice making decisions related to profiles. Demonstration of the PAR online will be provided.
The five courses are designed as a combination of face to face (8:30-3:30 at the Bettendorf Learning Center) and activities/assignments outside of the face to face time. There is one full day of attendance for each course. If you take the course for credit or CEUís, you will need to attend the session and complete the activities/assignments as indicated in the course syllabus.
