The target audience is districts that were awarded the TLC grant for the 2014-2015 school year.
In attendance should include: Administrators (both district and building) and teacher leaders (instructional coaches, mentors, lead teachers, model teachers etc.), as well as teachers not formally designated as teacher leaders. We recommend no more than 10-15 people per district attend (larger districts could replicate the approach in the district to include more members).
This learning opportunity will focus on the “Phase 1” components of implementing your TLC plan. The day will include opportunities to:
• Listen and process through lessons learned from current practitioners with experience in teacher leadership systems as a way to further your own implementation of a teacher leadership system.
• Work through the phase one components in order to develop an action plan for your district.
