Utilizing the Leadership and Learning Center’s unique practice of Authentic Performance Tasks provides the consistent tools aligned to specific standards that make Units of Study in all subject areas. Authentic Performance Tasks allows us to:
• Engage all learners
• Tie to 21st century goals, expectations, and skills
• Ensure effective differentiation by the teacher
• Clarify and build on student’s conceptual understanding of essential concepts and skills

The Center will provide specific support in creating Authentic Performance Tasks using a rigorous process to help educators focus on the effective design, creation, and use of performance assessments to motivate students, increase achievement, and save teacher time.

If you are participating in the course Rigorous Curriculum Design: Design and Revisions of ELA Iowa Core Units, please register for the workshop with the fee of $10. (Participation in the RCD course is by invitation only.)

If you will only be participating in this two-day workshop, the fee is $65.
