To participate in this course, you must have completed Transitioning to Iowa Core Math Operations K-2 part 1.
Teachers will:
1. Deepen understanding of problem-based instruction vs direct instruction
2. Foster classroom discussions that include opportunities for student generalizing and justifying
3. Identify core ideas and align instruction and assessment to the core idea, especially sequencing student work for conducting a coherent summary aligned to the core idea
