Mental Health, Behaviors and Outcomes


Participants will learn about Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE), Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA) and Trauma Informed Care (TIC) and how they affect youth learning outcomes and classroom interactions. Discuss how knowledge of ACE, TIC, and mental illness can positively affect a youth´s educational outcomes.

Learn how to incorporate Trauma Informed Care in the classroom with individual students to help promote positive learning environments and outcomes.

This course is appropriate for teachers of all school personnel, including paraeducators and those with the substitute authorization license.

$170 1 Drake grad credit
$100 1 relicensure credit
no cost for Audit/no credit or workshop for nurses
$10 for 15 hours of continue education units; CEUs issued by the AEA cannot to be used toward nursing, teacher, para, or substitute authorization renewal

IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO RECEIVE NURSING CEUS, the fee is $10 payable to EICC the first day of class. Bring your nursing license.
